Music

I'm a huge fan of asian music, especially Japanese. Here you can find sites and tributes dedicated to them. I hope to have more here in the future.

In The Spotlight (Kyushima Misachi)

Around 2005/2006 I stumbled upon an artist known as Kyushima Misachi. She had an amazing voice and i loved her songs to death. I believe it was Wapiko's rotation Sheki Music that introduced her to me. When i heard Wapiko was putting the fanlisting up for adoption i just had to apply. I'm super glad she gave it to me. She even let me keep her past information. I admit the fansite part of ITS has been mostly dead since i got it but Kyushima hasn't been a busy girl exactly ^^; I'm unsure as to if shes still going to be making music but I hope she does. Her voice is amazing.

Ring My Bell (Japanese Lyrics)

Around 2005/2006 I remember taking an html class at my local college to get extra credits. For the final we had to design a website with certain things on it. I remember wanted it to actual be useful to me in the future so i made a "lyrics" site. Titled Ring My Bell after the song by Yaida Hitomi, I made it look extremely nice. However due to all the crazy requirements (i.e. had to have email forms, x ammount of links, etc.) I hated updating it after the project and quickly abandoned it. In 2007/2008 or so I picked it back up and it was on my domain. It was much simplified, all links to lyrics were in .txt format. In 2009, i made the transition over to Livejournal, to make updating and tagging easier. I recently pondered a transition back over to my domain using Word Press but I currently don't have the energy to. lol. I still update it often and its still at LJ. Ring My Bell has moved successfully back to my domain via Word Press! :D

Happy Ending (Cocco)

Sakishi Matoko, otherwise known to the music industry at Cocco is super amazing. I first heard her more darker work like Countdown and Mizu Kagami back in 2003 or so. I was hooked instantly. I was a little late to the game though. I remember shortly after finding her stuff i found out she had quit the industry. I was appalled, such talent going to waste. However it seemed like she had issues with the industry at the time. I was quite happy when i heard she was coming back though! 2005 or so i think it was and she has been putting out stuff since. Her voice is beautiful and its nice to see newer pictures of her smiling. Her music seems more amazing then ever, yet not so dark. Hence the title Happy Ending.

Hikari to Watashi (Chara)

When i first heard Chara, i remember thinking "what is this weird music? a child singing?". I'm fairly certain i'm not the only one. Chara has a unique set of vocals that people either love or hate. White it sounds a bit like a child, i couldn't help but fall in love with the whisper, somewhat sultry style of singing she had. I first got into around 2004 or so and I had lots of Chara music to catch up on. She's been around since 1992 or so. I feel her music has a unique flavor to it i think everyone should try her at least once.

MiChi Madness (MiChi)

When I was watching the drama Kiina, i remember finding the ending theme song extremely catchy. So i hunted for and downloaded her single "Change The World". I was then hooked, MiChi's music is usually full of energy and different sounds combined, also love her covers of American music. This was one of the first fanlistings i applied for in a very long time, and i'm really glad i got it! More people should listen to her. Her stuff is amazing <3

Happy Birthday (Birthday Eve)

Birthday Eve is a song by the ever popular Koda Kumi. Writing this little blurb feels weird because when I first got this domain this song had only been out for a few months. ^^; Feels like forever ago with how often Kuu releases stuff. Anyways, Birthday Eve was part of her 12 single campaign. Birthday Eve was the 2nd of 12. It was light hearted, poppy and seemed more "girly" then stuff she had done before that. It quickly became my favorite alongside DDD and Shake It Up.

Oi-Oi-Oh (Shake It Up)

Shake It Up is a song by the extremely famous Koda Kumi. As with Birthday Eve, writing this little blurb feels weird because when I first got this domain this song had only been out for a few months. ^^; Feels like forever ago with how often Kuu releases stuff. Anyways, Shake It Up was part of her 12 single campaign. I believe it was the 4th of 12. It was danced based and it was catchy. It quickly became my favorite alongside DDD and Birthday Eve. Did I mention the cover art for it is amazing?
